Unfortunately, the rubbers on the pan supports wear out and break regularly. The original rubber supports from the hob manufacturers are very expensive, which is why we have created this alternative. To be on the safe side, please measure before buying to ensure that the existing pan supports also have a hole of 5mm and the upper edge is at least 11mm in diameter.
Durability:
Our pan support rubbers last at least as long as the originals. However, this is a matter of simple physics: silicone can withstand a temperature of +260 degrees permanently. We know from tests that the pan supports can reach a temperature of +350 degrees after 20 minutes of use on full flame. This means that the silicone rubber rings become brittle sooner or later and can tear. In our opinion, the decisive factor is how well the holes in the hob in which the rubbers are inserted are deburred. This is because vibrations during travel can cause a burr or a sharp edge over time in the silicone rubbers.
In general, the durability depends on: temperature, duration of exposure to temperature, frequency of use and your hob itself or how well the holes are deburred.
